2 half birthdays equals 1 whole birthday!

Today we both turn 6 months old. That makes us one year old, right? To celebrate our big day, we went to Grammie and Papa's house and got in some snuggles...
some smiles...some tummy time (with Kaira, too!)...and some CARROT CAKE!!!Now, given the fact that we hadn't had anything except for breastmilk and formula until now, we were in for QUITE the surprise. Mother's milk is good, but icing is like...well...icing on the cake!
Matthew gave it a try:And then one minute later, Nathan got some:Hooray for birthday boys! (Aren't we adorable holding hands!?!?)Yep, after 5 months of feeding us pumped breastmilk, Mommy had to start supplementing with formula. Although some days she would pump over 50 ounces of milk for us(!!!!), our appetites have been incredible lately. In the middle of November, Matthew ate over 30 ounces of breastmilk in one day and so after reviewing the possible options (#1: Daddy starts pumping, too; #2: Mommy gets a third breast; #3: Starve one of the babies; #4: Start supplementing with formula), our parents started mixing in some formula with our bottles. We have done fine with this transition to malted-milkshakes. In fact, Nathan seems to like his bottle better (and eat more!) when the mixture is more formula and less breastmilk. Mommy's trying not to take it personally.

In other news, we've both discovered how to put our Nuks in our mouths (we did it on the same day - November 23rd) and our favorite pasttime is playing with our sister, Kaira. Although unfortunately, her favorite thing to do is strip us down to our diaper. Apparently she loves snaps as much as we love naps! Anyone know where we can get some toddler-proof onesies?
Here are some random pictures of us from the month of November. Enjoy! (See if you can guess who's who.)Look out, Matthew. Kaira's got her eye on you...and that onesie!!
