NST, EKG, but NO IV!

Ever since Mom's been in the hospital, they've been having her do an NST (non-stress test) once a day to listen to our heartbeats for 30 minutes or so. Her non-stress test yesterday apparently stressed her out, though, because her heartbeat and our heartbeats were all very high! Mom wasn't concerned because she had just eaten breakfast and figured her body was working hard to get us that food after a long night's rest, but just to be safe, the doctors moved her over to labor and delivery for some additional monitoring and tests. They did an EKG to check her heart and wanted to give her an IV for fluids, but she said "no thank you" to that (Mom HATES IVs). They also did an ultrasound on us to see if we were ok and to monitor our heartrates, too.

Thankfully, everything turned out to be fine. The diagnosis was just as Mom had predicted all along...she's pregnant with twins.

Mom's now back in her old room in the antepartum unit, but lost her bed by the window. She says that's fine with her...she's just glad to not have a hep well in her hand.
