Now at 30 weeks (Ultrasound #11), Thing 1 is 3 pounds, 7 ounces and Thing 2 is 3 pounds, 1 ounce. That's pretty close! It was very reassuring to everyone to see the discordance in our sizes get smaller. Plus, there continues to be no signs of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome; we both have plenty of amniotic fluid, the blood flow to and from the placenta is equal for each of us, our heart rates are great, and the thin beautiful membrane separating us is flowing freely through the fluid. Our shared placenta is doing well and Mom shows no signs of going into pre-term labor. HOORAY!
The doctors say that it is great that we've made it to week 30 and if we had to be born, we'd have an excellent chance of surviving and thriving. We're planning on staying in here for a while longer, though, and continuing to cook.
Here are some pictures of Mommy (with us inside!) taken at 29 weeks. Look at that belly grow!
